Malnutrition is the major health problem in Pakistani children. According to WHO data 2011, 43.7% of children in Pakistan are stunted (short height). 40% of children in Pakistan under five year of age have Iron deficiency, Zinc deficiency and Vitamin D deficiency. 54% of our children under five year age have vitamin A deficiency. This a very unfortunate reality. All these problems can be easily avoided by a good nutritional advice and timely supplementation of essential vitamins and micro-nutrients. Parents should consult their pediatrician and get advice regarding nutrition of their children.
